Lord and Lady Northampton

Lord Northampton has spent nearly sixty years exploring subtle energy fields, frequency and the relationship between people and place. His work informs Bōkan’s distinctive philosophy of resonance, balance and the Castle Ashby landscape.

Lady Northampton is a dually accredited UKCP
and BACP psychotherapist with four decades of clinical practice, specialising in eating disorders
and women’s psychological health. Lady Northampton’s approach is rooted in the belief that clinical and holistic practice need not be separate, Her work draws on trauma-informed practice, yoga, somatic and sensory awareness, forest therapy

and coaching.

At Bōkan, these perspectives come together to create space for reflection, reconnection and meaningful personal change.

Castle Ashby

Set on a powerful ley line, Castle Ashby has been home to the Compton family since 1512. Its living estate brings together historic woodland, water, and a village shaped by generations of people who have called it home.

Here, heritage is not simply preserved; it is lived in, cared for and woven into the rhythm of every stay. Guests of Bōkan are invited to slow down and spend time across the estate, from the Orangery and formal gardens to the clear open-water swimming lake, set within Capability Brown’s beautifully designed landscape.
